It has been a long road to reach the point where this project was possible, with years of planning and smaller projects paving the way to our ultimate goal. It is an undertaking that will allow future growth in our community, both residential and commercial. The expansion will also include the installation of a septic dump site to help better service our surrounding municipalities and RM’s.

The Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) funding made the lagoon expansion project possible. The Government of Canada, the Government of Saskatchewan, and the Village of Lipton all played a key role, contributing a combined total of more than $1.5 million.

Statement for the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities on the Occasion of the Lagoon Expansion Ground-Breaking in Lipton, Saskatchewan July 4, 2024: “Lipton is a growing community in Saskatchewan and the local lagoon is growing too.
